State Rep Race - District 120: Byron Miller
SAN ANTONIO -- Ruth Jones McClendon is vacating her District 120 seat after 19 years, and there are six candidates running to replace her.
Byron Miller, who is a former justice of the peace and current member of the Edwards Aquifer Board of Directors, is one of those candidates.
He says he supports the state getting involved in border security, even though it's a federal issue. He supports providing Texans with free, two-year college educations and would support lending for small and minority owned businesses.
"I am the most qualified, the most experienced, and someone that really believes in servant leadership. I'm not there for you to serve me, I'm there to serve you," said Miller. "And with that said, I want to be able to make a difference. A changing within our district, but I mostly want to make sure that we have unity. But with unity, we need to have community. And with community, that means communication. With communication that means listening and working together."
