NORTHSIDE ISD BOND:

Voters passed the proposed $848 million Northside ISD bond. The money will be spent in three categories: providing new schools, renovating older schools, and working on infrastructure. Some of the money will also be spent on safety and security, technology, and transportation. The district wants to build four new campuses, including one new high school outside of Loop 1604, a huge indicator of the growth happening in that area.

NISD Superintendent Dr. Woods says bullet resistant lobbies will also be added to 44 elementary campuses.

OTHER RACES:

Voters in several of the smaller cities also elected a mayor and and city council members as well as voted on bond measures, including Alamo Heights, Balcones Heights, Castle Hills, Elmendorf, Fair Oaks, Grey Forest, Helotes, Hollywood Park, and Kirby.
