Bomb squad removes 'suspicious device' from airport checkpoint
SAN ANTONIO —
San Antonio International Airport operations have returned to normal after a bomb squad removed a "suspicious device" Monday evening.
According to an airport spokesman, a passenger in Terminal B checkpoint had a suspicious item in their luggage. The terminal temporarily closed and everyone in the area was evacuated so a bomb squad and K9 unit could investigate.
The passenger is currently being questioned by authorities. The checkpoint is now reopen and passengers are being screened again. A K9 unit has swept the airport without incident.
