Neighbor calls 911 after spotting flames at house under construction
SAN ANTONIO - A house undergoing renovations was heavily damaged following an early morning fire on Thursday.
The flames broke out shortly after 5 a.m. in the 1400 block of West Hollywood Avenue, between Buckeye and Neer Avenue.
A neighbor called 911 after seeing flames at the vacant house. Investigators said the fire started in a back room of the house before spreading to the attic.
The house was under construction and no one was inside at the time. Arson investigators are now looking into the cause of the fire.
Smoke and flames could be seen on the city's Transguide cameras for a short time.
