UVALDE, Texas (KABB) - Texas Department of Public Safety records show that Jack D. Young was texting while driving when he crashed into the church bus that killed 13 people on March 29.

The report said Young, 20, crossed the center marker on U.S. 83 and crashed into the bus that was carrying members of First Baptist Church in New Braunfels who were returning from a retreat.

A witness, Jody Kuchler, says Young was driving erratically before the crash. He has not been charged.

The National Transportation Safety Board revealed the driver of the pickup truck involved the deadly crash was not wearing his seat belt.

Only one person survived the crash. She's identified as 64-year-old Rose Mary Harris.
