Fourth suspect arrested in connection to murder of Rio Grande City teen
A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection to the murder of a Rio Grande City teen.
Texas Rangers arrested 18-year-old Salvador Martinez on Thursday in connection to the disappearance and murder of Chayse Olivarez, according to a news release from the 229 Judicial District Attorney's Office.
Martinez was charged with tampering with evidence and tampering with a corpse.
Two juveniles and a 17-year-old man were arrested in August in connection to Olivarez's disappearance.
Investigators say Olivarez was expected to play basketball with his friends on July 29, but never arrived. His remains were found Aug. 12.
The case remains under investigation.
