Groups to help migrants who want to become American citizens
SAN ANTONIO -- There's help available for migrants wishing to become American citizens.
Wednesday, three Mexican institutions announced a new service to help Mexican migrants who live in the U.S. and are eligible for U.S. citizenship with the application process.
The service also provides pro bono legal advice including information on how to obtain loans to pay for the citizenship process.
"We support people individually in order to fill their applications,” said one spokesperson. “To know if they have filled the requirements, we work with families because it is a family issue."
Information on the program can be accessed online at AccesoLatino.org.
