Known burglar attempts to flee from deputies, crashes into car on far North side
SAN ANTONIO —
Officers said a man known to be involved in multiple burglaries has been transported to the hospital after attempting to flee and later crashing into a car Tuesday evening.
The crash happened at Bulverde Rd. and E. Evans Road at about 5:35 p.m.
A sheriff constable was attempting to pull a motorcyclist over for speeding on Bulverde Road, but the man refused to stop and attempted to get away. He then ran through a red light and crashed into a car that was trying to turn onto Salano.
The motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle and into the air before landing on the sidewalk. The 21-year-old was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Officers at the scene said the man was known to be involved in burglaries prior to today's crash. Police are currently trying to find the VIN number on the motorcycle but cannot find it. They are now investigating whether the motorcycle was stolen or not.
