Man charged with capital murder in death of 14-month old girl
SAN ANTONIO - The man accused of shaking and throwing a child who died will now face capital murder charges.
Javiele Frias, 22, is now charged with capital murder. A report said that Frias shook and threw his 14-month old daughter Lillianna Estevez back in early April. She was on life support for four days and died at University Hospital.
Frias told police he was holding the baby girl by her legs when he dropped her, causing the infant to hit her head on the floor of a South Side apartment.
The report said he was watching three kids at the time, but didn't call an ambulance.
Frias remains in jail. He faces injury to a child and capital murder charges. His bond is set at nearly $1 million.
If convicted, Frias could get the death penalty.
