Man cut with sword after being asked to leave tenant's apartment
SAN ANTONIO - Police say a man was cut with a sword after being accused of looking at another man's girlfriend.
The cutting happened at an apartment along Via La Cantera, on the Northwest Side, at about 6:30 a.m. on Monday.
Investigators say the group of three had been out drinking on Sunday night when they all went back to an apartment together.
At some point, one man accused the other of looking at his girlfriend. Fearing a fight would break out with the man, the boyfriend pulled out a sword. The boyfriend claimed that he tried to reason with the man, but the man threw a punch. The boyfriend blocked the punch by swatting him with the sword, causing a deep cut to the man's hand.
The couple bandaged the victim's hand, but he passed out. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Officers did not say if anyone would be charged in the incident.
