Motel shares sex trafficking concerns following recent case
SAN ANTONIO – A 24-year-old man is accused of sex trafficking two young girls.
Rakim Sharkey is now facing a Trafficking of a Minor offense.
He was arrested by San Antonio Police on Thursday.
According to an arrest affidavit, the alleged sex trafficking was taking place at the Econolodge Motel on I-35, north of San Antonio.
Police found both alleged victims at the motel with a woman in October.
The warrant states the girls admitted to police they were being pimped and prostituted out.
The Econolodge told Fox San Antonio they were not aware of anything going on and that they are cooperating with SAPD.
Police said if anyone else is victim to come forward and call 911.
