On The Run: Samantha Moreno
SAN ANTONIO - The Bexar County Sheriff's Office needs your help finding a fugitive with sticky fingers. Samantha Moreno was convicted of stealing, and then pulling a knife on security officers. Now she’s dodging the conditions of her probation and the sheriff's office needs your help to finding her.
“In September 2014, Moreno arrived to a local business located on the 1700 block of North Loop 1604 East. She entered the business and selected a shopping cart and began to shop,” explained Deputy Marin Mata from the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. "Immediately, the loss prevention team and security officers recognized Moreno from a previous incident.”
So they began monitoring Moreno's actions while in the store.
It was not long until Moreno started to remove the anti-theft devices from the several women's purses and shoes. Moreno then walked towards the front door, past the cash registers and forced her way out.
When Moreno was approached by the loss prevention team, a friend of Moreno’s pulled up and threatened the team with the knife.
A getaway vehicle was waiting for Moreno and she left the location. She was convicted of robbery. While out on probation she stopped following the rules of her supervised release and her probation was revoked.
Samantha Moreno is 5’2” and weighs 185 pounds.
