Squatters, drugs, gun found inside vacant San Antonio home
SAN ANTONIO —
Police found a gun, drugs and several people living inside a vacant rental house on the city's Northwest Side, according to its property manager.
Alan King said a neighbor called Thursday morning about the home, which had been empty a couple of weeks on Sunset Glade.
"He said, 'Well, some strange-looking people over there that shouldn't be there,'" King said.
The property manager called police and said they took four people into custody, including three young men and a runaway teen girl. They also found a gun and drugs, he said.
The San Antonio Police Department said officers responded at 9:15 a.m. for a reported burglary and no additional information was available Thursday. Therefore, names of those arrested and their charges are not known.
"This has never happened in 20 years of real estate, and this is the first time I've ever had this to happen," King said, "but they say that it's a growing problem in the San Antonio area."
