Police said two men involved in a confrontation were shot by two other men early Thursday morning on the Southwest Side.

According to investigators, the two victims were outside a house on Gwenda Lea, near Old Pearsall Road and Ray Ellison Boulevard, when they were approached by the suspects just before 1 a.m.

All four men were involved in some type of argument when one of the unwanted visitors pulled out a gun and fired into the air.

The two visitors ran off and were chased by the two men who were outside the house. After catching up to them, there was a struggle over the gun and two of the men were shot. Paramedics took the victims to a hospital for treatment.

One of the suspects was later found. He has been identified as 22-year-old Jailen Michael Collins. He is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
