VIDEO: Tornado touches down just north of Austin
BRIGGS, Texas - An incredible severe storm charged through central Texas on Friday and spawned a stovepipe tornado underneath the massive rotating storm.
The Burnet County Sheriff's Office says the tornado touched down at 7:56pm in the far northeast part of Burnet County near the intersection of US Hwy 183 and CR 224 near North Rocky Creek. All indications are that the tornado touched down while over an open field.
The tornado was on the ground for approximately 5 minutes.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
