WINTER BLAST: Arctic air moving through Texas, more freezing temps expected overnight
SAN ANTONIO - With extremely cold weather conditions sticking around until Wednesday, officials are asking everyone to check on elderly neighbors and young children to ensure they are properly protected.
A freeze warning remains in effect until Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing on Tuesday, but another push of arctic air is moving through the area, which will keep temperatures below freezing on Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.

As of Tuesday morning, there were no concerns for precipitation in the area; roads are expected to remain dry.
Officials also recommend checking space heaters and portable heaters by making sure there isn't anything flammable too close to the devices, as well as working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
