Woman who knocked on neighbors' doors for help dies from stab wounds, suspect in custody
CONVERSE, Texas —
A woman was found stabbed to death at an apartment complex in Converse Thursday morning.
Police were called to the Towne East Apartments on the 9000 block of FM 78 around 4 a.m. Thursday.
Investigators believe the woman was stabbed in the parking lot of the complex and made her way to one the buildings. She began knocking on some of the apartment doors and asking for help, but none of the residents opened their doors.
The woman was found dead in a hallway.
Around 5 p.m., authorities in Converse released a photo of a suspect in the stabbing.
That man is identified as Elvin Armas. He was taken into custody around 6:15 p.m.
