Woman shot, police searching for boyfriend
SAN ANTONIO – Police are searching for a man suspected of shooting his girlfriend at a South Side home early Saturday.
Emergency crews were called to the 1400 block of Chalmers Avenue around 3:24 a.m. Saturday. According to officers at the scene, a 46-year-old woman was shot in the upper left shoulder by her boyfriend. The boyfriend fled on foot after the shooting.
Police say victim was able to walk from her home at the back of the property to the front house and ask for help. She was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.
Police searched her home and found narcotics paraphernalia. They said they don’t yet know what led up to the shooting.
