On the Run: Degaberto Nino Torres
SAN ANTONIO - A fired employee is accused of returning to the business, looking for revenge. Now the Bexar County Sheriff's Office needs help finding Degaberto Nino Torres.
Torres allegedly carried out his threats to his previous employer when he came back for revenge after losing his job.
“In April 2017 the Bexar County Sheriff's Office was called out to the 6800 block of FM 136 to find a male victim that had sustained several lacerations to his face,” explained Deputy Marin Mata from Bexar County Sheriff's Office. “The male victim stated to the deputy he ‘was assaulted by a former employee, who he fired just yesterday.’”
The victim told authorities Torres had threatened to come back to his shop to steal and damage his property. The victim, who owns the store, slept in front of his store in his vehicle in fear that Torres would return and follow through with his threats.
“Torres returned at 5am with two others, and proceeded to pull his former boss from his vehicle and beat him with closed fists, and at one point with a metallic pipe. Torres also gained control of the vehicle and attempted to run him over before leaving the scene,” said Deputy Mata.
Degaberto Nino Torres weighs 190 pounds and is 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He is wanted for Aggravated Robbery and Terroristic Threats.
