On The Run: Placido Garay
San Antonio —
SAN ANTONIO - The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help finding 68-year-old sexual predator Placido Garay.
“In July 2005, Garay engaged in indecent sexual acts with two children,” explained Deputy Marin Mata from the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. “The two little girls told their guardians Garay ‘has been touching them in their private parts’ as the victims pointed down towards their genitals. The two victims went on to state Garay would give them 'a dollar and give them a piece of gum' and proceed to touch them on their buttock and genital area.
At the time the two little girls were only eight and ten years old.
In February 2008, Garay was convicted of indecency with a child by contact and sentenced to 10 years probation. Garay is required by the state of Texas to register as a sex offender for his lifetime.
“Since Garay was release on probation, he has failed to comply with his sex offender registration and the conditions of his adult community supervision. This has resulted in a motion to revoke his probation,” said Deputy Mata. “It has been several years since we have known the whereabouts of Placido Garay, and we would appreciate the public's help bringing this sexual predator to justice.”
Garay is 5’10” tall and weighs about 170 pounds.
