FOX San Antonio - Street's Corner
After years of hard work and perseverance, the James Madison High School Solar Car Team is on the verge of competing in its first-ever long distance solar road race.
For Dr. Joseph Dungan, the team's founder, the growth of the team and its success is an example of what can happen when students, teachers, and businesses collaborate to reach a common goal.
Five years after Dungan started seeking funding for the program, the ''MadSci'' team has built three functional solar cars and is working on a fourth.
JT Street joins the team's newest members for the first meeting of the school year on ''Street's Corner.''
