SAN ANTONIO -- Madison may soon have a new football coach. A replacement for Jim Streety maybe announced as early as Monday.

According to a local report and rumors on Twitter and the internet, Judson Coach Mark Smith is the leading candidate to take the job.  Smith coached Johnny Manziel at Kerrville Tivy before moving on to Judson, where he coached for the past two seasons.

A source close to the situation told News 4 the speculation is valid. But neither Judson nor the North East Independent School District would confirm that Smith is indeed taking the job.Madison may have a new football coach
