SAN ANTONIO - There's a pretty big fight brewing in the 28-6A baseball race.

Clark, O'Connor and Brandeis started the week tied at the top.

O'Connor won on Tuesday, so Wednesday's Clark/Brandeis game was very significant because the winner is back in a tie for first. The loser drops to third in the standings.

Clark gave a 1-0 lead to lefty Tyler Flores, who had seven strikeouts against a tough-hitting ball club in Brandeis, as the Cougars earned the 3-0 win.
