D'Onta Foreman puts up monster numbers at Texas' pro day
AUSTIN - D'Onta Foreman had his work cut out for him at the start of Tuesday's Longhorn Pro Day with other running backs like Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey also in this year's draft.
So how do you compete against these guys? You put up head turning numbers.
The former Longhorn running back showed off his explosive speed with a reported 4.45-second 40-yard dash time. The split puts him among the class' fastest backs: his time would've ranked fourth at the NFL combine, ahead of big names like Stanford's McCaffrey and LSU's Fournette.
Foreman put up monster numbers last season for Texas, rushing for an amazing 2,028 yards - the second highest total in Longhorn history. Foreman has the chance to be the first Longhorn taken in the first two rounds since Malcom Brown (No. 32 overall) in 2015.
Foreman is predicted to be a second round pick. The NFL draft starts on April 27 and finishes on April 29.
