UTSA loses DE Solomon Wise for season with knee injury
SAN ANTONIO - Just a little over a week into training camp and UTSA suffers a humongous blow.
Starting defensive end Solomon Wise suffered a serious knee injury on Saturday and is out for the season.
Head coach Frank Wilson told reporters that Wise hyperextended his knee after jumping. Wise was slated to be the other bookend on a defensive line that features former Stevens star Marcus Davenport.
Coach Wilson says at least the Runners have quality depth at the defensive end position.
