GAME OF THE WEEK - Reagan vs. Churchill
SAN ANTONIO - The showdown between Reagan and Churchill didn't disappoint.
Konner Fox scored a pair of second-half touchdowns and Reagan held off a late charge for a 28-21 win over Churchill at Comalander Stadium on Friday night.
The win is Reagan's 11th in a row over Churchill.
Both teams traded touchdowns en route to a 14-14 tie a the half.
Travis Sthele got Reagan on the board with a 61-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, while James Carrington's 6-yard score gave the Rattlers a 14-0 lead early in the second.
Churchill stormed back with a 14-yard touchdown pass from Derek Perez to Brandon Sparrow with five minutes left in the half. Malik Fletcher's 3-yard score just before halftime knotted the score.
Sthele hit Fox with a pair of TD passes (9, and 59 yards) to pull away.
Churchill's Johnathan Alva scored with three minutes left in the game, but the Chargers failed to recover the onside kick and Reagan ran out the clock for the win.
Carrington finished with 147 yards rushing, while Sthele added 112 yards on the ground for Reagan.
Churchill was led by Perez, who had 152 yards rushing and 146 yards passing for the Chargers.
