For Fox News First co-anchor Breanna Barrs, it's always been about the people. Bringing their experiences and stories to life through the lens, and touching the hearts of those in the community. She considers it an honor people trust her with their stories.
Breanna grew up just outside of Dallas with her parents and three siblings. Her love for journalism began early on, when she was selected to anchor her elementary school’s morning newscast. Breanna graduated top in her class at North Mesquite High School and then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism at Texas Tech University.
She began her professional career at WDHN-TV in Dothan, Alabama, working as a reporter before she was quickly promoted to anchor. Breanna joined the Fox San Antonio team in February 2017, and is thrilled to be back in her home state serving the people of San Antonio.
In her free time, Breanna likes to try new restaurants, spend time with her friends and family and also enjoys cooking. When she’s not working she’s traveling or looking for new experiences. Her companion in life is her 6-year-old poodle mix, Cooper, who's quite the character!
