A sweet way to spend the summer: a Delray Beach bakery will be having a summer camp to teach kids cooking.
"It's an emoji with some cool sunglasses, we have a bbq decorating kit, it's all summery, it's for every sex," said Shelby Fernandez, head cake decorator and "camp counselor" for Two Fat Cookies.
Shelby is describing the summer-themed cooking kits kids will get for camp from Two fat Cookies. The camp is six weeks long. People pick up the kits and get a weekly cooking tutorial.
"Each week we're going to post on our new youtube channel a video that's probably about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the kit, so we have some baking kits, some decorating kits," said Fernandez.
This camp isn't just for kids.
"When this whole thing started and we introduced the kits, we had college kids, 30-somethings coming in. I mean, it's still baking," said Two Fat Cookies Owner Zoey Wexler.
Camp costs $295 for six weeks worth of ingredients, decorations, and tutorials.
Registration ends June 10th.
You can call the bakeshop to register for camp at (561) 265-5350.
