SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio police are investigating a shooting where one teenager said he accidentally shot another teenager.

The shooting happened along Marbach Rd., near Military Dr., just before midnight Sunday night.

Police said two teens were playing with a gun, when one shot the other, but then called police to say it was an accident.

Upon arrival, officers found a 17-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. Police said the teens agreed they were playing with the gun.

The 16-year-old pointed the gun at the 17-year-old and said “I’m gonna kill you,” before pulling the trigger and shooting the friend in the chest.

The 16-year-old then immediately called 911 for help to report an accident.

Police said the 16-year-old was arrested and will still face aggravated assault with a deadly weapons charge.

The victim was taken to the hospital and at last check was in the critical condition.
