According to a report from Newsday, San Antonio Spurs' Becky Hammon could get an interview for the vacant Knicks head coaching job.
Newsday reports that Hammon is among Knicks coaching candidates to keep an eye on among other names such as ex-Spurs coach Ime Udoka, interim head coach Mike Miller, Kenny Atkinson, Tom Thibodeau and Mike Woodson.
Hammon has been on the radar for other NBA teams for a head coaching job. In 2018, the Bucks took an interest in her for their vacant head coaching gig until ex-Spurs coach Mike Budenholzer was named.
Hammon is an enticing coaching candidate in the league. She spent the past six seasons working with Gregg Popovich and was moved to the first-assistant spot when James Borrego left San Antonio to become the head coach of the Hornets.
