About Dr. Garza

Dr. Garza is a San Antonio native who has been practicing fertility and reproductive endocrinology since 1983. He graduated from Keystone School and then Austin College. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School of Dallas and completed a residency in OB/GYN at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Dr. Garza completed a fellowship in infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology. Dr. Garza is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the American Association of Gynecologists Laparoscopists, the Society for Reproductive Surgeons, American Society of Reproductive Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Garza performed the first GIFT procedure in private practice in San Antonio at the Nix Hospital in 1985, as well as the first, two-oocyte donor, in vitro fertilization cases in Texas. He performed the first, robotic, tubal renastamosis and robotic internal cerelage in the United States.{} Dr. Garza is also an international lecturer and robotic instructor in advanced laser, reproductive surgical and microsurgical procedures.
