Abortion numbers dropped 15 percent after state passed tough restrictions
AUSTIN, Texas -- New numbers out Friday show there's been a 15 percent drop in abortions after the state passed tough restrictions.
The numbers are from 2014, the first full year that Texas' abortion clinic restrictions were in effect. The drop in abortions particularly affected Hispanic women and women getting abortions for medical reasons.
The restrictions are no longer in effect after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the rules on Monday.
