SAN ANTONIO - Authorities identified the 25-year-old man who was killed after shots rang out when an argument over bills quickly escalated early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the 3200 block of Cripple Creek at about 3 a.m. for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Joshua Lora, 25, with several gunshot wounds.

Police said an argument between family members broke out over someone not pulling their weight with the bills. One of the family members pulled out a gun, but at some point it fell to the ground. The family members then began to wrestle on the ground, trying to take the gun away. Several shots were fired, striking one man multiple times and at least once in the head. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Investigators detained multiple people for questioning, but no charges have been filed. The family members claim the shooting was an accident, but since several shots were fired, police are suspicious and still investigating at this time.
