Don't get sick! Free flu vaccines for available on first-come, first-serve basis
SAN ANTONIO —
The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District announced free flu vaccines to anyone in San Antonio with a state-approved ID, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
"This has been a particularly tough flu season so far. The season still has a ways to go so it’s not too late to get your flu vaccine today," said Dr. Anita Kurian, in a prepared statement released by Metro Health.
To receive a vaccination, stop by the health department's immunization clinic at 1226 NW 18th Street, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Health experts say the flu vaccine is the first step to protecting you from the illness.
Questions about the vaccine program should be directed to Metro Health at 210-207-8894.
