After weeks of regional activity, the number of flu cases in Texas soared. According to the Centers for Disease Control, the flu is now widespread in Texas.

Is it too late to get the flu shot? While the CDC says it takes two weeks for the flu vaccine to take effect, you may still benefit if you get the shot now. Flu season can stretch into April and May, so get experts say you should get the shot.
