15-year-old dies after running into mother's room saying he had been shot identified
SAN ANTONIO —
Authorities identified the 15-year-old boy who died after running into his mother's room saying he had been shot.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner pronounced Sonny Vidales, 15, dead at the scene. Police said Vidales died Saturday after he ran into his mother's room saying he had been shot. Vidales' mother said she was asleep in bed when her son came into her room and collapsed on the floor.
Emergency crews treated the boy but he died at his mother's house at 310 Adolph Street.
Authorities said neither the Vidales' mother or any other occupants heard any shots fired within the home. It is still unknown where the shooting happened.
Homicide officials are investigating the murder.
