An 18-year-old man was charged with manslaughter after he ran a red light and crashed into a car at an intersection Saturday night, killing another man.

Police said Rueben Justin Trejo, 18, was arrested and charged with manslaughter after he ran a red light at the intersection of North Foster Road and Farm-to-Market 78 Saturday night around 11:25 p.m. A driver of a Ford Ranger was turning left onto FM 78 from Rittiman Road when Trejo crashed into the passenger's side of the pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene and Trejo and a passenger in his car were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim has not yet been identified.
