An Abilene man accused of killing his girlfriend and baby girl said God told him do it.

Cody Edmund Dixon, 34, was arrested Saturday night in Callahan County.

He's accused of killing Alia Rae Hutchison, 22, and their 9-month-old daughter, Aria Ellen Dixon.

The bodies were found on CR 324 between Baird and Putnam.

Dixon was arrested at the Motor Inn in Baird.

A man who tackled Dixon after he headbutted an officer told KTXS that Dixon said God told him do it.

Dixon is charged with two counts of capital murder, escape, assault on a peace officer and possession of a controlled substance.

His bond was set at $1.8 million.
