The Alamo Colleges are stepping up to help out former Brightwood College students who were blindsided by the vocational school's closure last week.

The Alamo Colleges will host two information sessions for students who were enrolled in Brightwood's Allied Health program.

The sessions will take place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Alamo Colleges Workforce Center of Excellence located at 800 Quintana Road.

Brightwood College closed suddenly last week; officials said the school's accreditation had been pulled. Most students were shocked by the closing, and some were just days away from graduating with a degree.
