City Nature Challenge pits San Antonio against other Texas cities
SAN ANTONIO - Calling all adventurous people: Texas Parks and Wildlife is holding the "City Nature Challenge" to see which city can document the most species.
The challenge, held between April 27 and April 30, pits San Antonio against Amarillo, Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, El Paso, Houston and LRGV.
Any observation in the greater metropolitan area in each city counts during the four-day challenge. Just take a picture of a plant or animal using the iNaturalist app in iOS or Android and the community will help identify which species it is. CLICK HERE to learn more about the challenge...
There are already 27 members in San Antonio ready to take the challenge.
