DEL RIO, Texas - City Hall servers were disabled afteer a ransomware attack Thursday.
The city's Management Information Services Department isolated the ransomware by turning off the Internet for all city departments, not allowing employees to log in.
After, the city reported the ransomware to the FBI, and they referred the city to the Secret Service.
The city of Del Rio is still working to fix the situation, and say it is unclear whether personal data has been compromised.
For now, transactions at City Hall are being done manually with paper.
