SAN ANTONIO - Dream Week kicked off on Friday morning with an early breakfast.
The breakfast was held at St. Paul Square on the East Side.
The event featured former San Antonio Mayors Ivy Taylor and Julian Castro and current Mayor Ron Nirenberg.
Mayor Nirenberg talked about what makes Dream Week so special.
"Dream week is one of the most significant initiatives to come from San Antonio in the last decade," he said. "This is about showing our DNA in reminding ourselves that we are a strong community because we are built on diversity and inclusion and understanding."
Dream Week will feature events that run from now until Jan. 26.
