Driver accused of leading officer on high-speed chase through Castle Hills
SAN ANTONIO —
A man was taken into custody by police after leading officers on a high-speed chase through Castle Hills on Wednesday morning.
According to the Castle Hills Police Department, an officer tried to pull over a driver for speeding along Blanco Road at about 2:30 a.m.
Instead of stopping, the driver sped up and led the officer on a chase, hitting speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.
He eventually crashed his car into a guardrail, causing it to flip over and land in a ditch.
The suspect was checked out at the scene by paramedics and was apparently okay.
No other information was released.
