A man was taken into custody by police after leading officers on a high-speed chase through Castle Hills on Wednesday morning.

According to the Castle Hills Police Department, an officer tried to pull over a driver for speeding along Blanco Road at about 2:30 a.m.

Instead of stopping, the driver sped up and led the officer on a chase, hitting speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.

He eventually crashed his car into a guardrail, causing it to flip over and land in a ditch.

The suspect was checked out at the scene by paramedics and was apparently okay.

No other information was released.
