Earthquake reported near small Texas town

An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 shook East Texas on Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck an area about one mile away from the small Texas town of Timpson, 25 miles outside of Nacogdoches and about 29 miles from Lufkin at about 4:30 a.m.

No damage was reported.
