SAN ANTONIO - A local teacher is being recognized for her efforts to end prejudice and hate.

The Jewish Federation of San Antonio has selected Lisa Barry as the first ever recipient of the Maxine Cohen Hope for Humanity Educator Award.

The award honors those who spread a message of love within their classrooms.
