Family of missing 24-year-old father desperate for answers
A San Antonio family of a missing 24-year-old father is determined to find their loved one.
Mario Martinez's family says he's been missing since Wednesday and the circumstances around his disappearance are a mystery.
"We've searched everywhere that we possibly could," said Alaric Carter, a family member of Martinez.
"I'm living a nightmare right now because he's a huge part in this family," said Clayla McHenry, Martinez's girlfriend.
On Wednesday evening, Martinez picked up his girlfriend from work, they had dinner at their home with their 2-year-old daughter and then he went out with friends.
"Expect for this time, he never came back. He never came back," said Martinez.
McHenry got worried when she woke up in the middle of the night and he still wasn't home. His phone has been off since then.
"I don't know what's going on with my child... I just want him home," said his mother, Shakita Carter.
They worry foul play could involved. His mother fears his disappearance may be connected to a weekend shooting. She said there was an incident on Saturday.
"One of his good friends got killed on Foster Road and we believe that those two are linked," said Carter.
His girlfriend says Martinez was a family man who loved his daughter.
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office has not confirmed if the Foster Road shooting is connected to the missing persons case.
