Fire engulfs hay barn in East Bexar County

SAN ANTONIO - Crews rushed to put out a fire at a hay barn in East Bexar County on Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out at a barn along Stapper Road near Miller Road.

It was not known whether anyone was hurt.

Firefighters planned to let the fire burn out and contain the outside perimeter to keep it from spreading. It's believed there were between 60 and 70 bales of hay inside the barn.
