SAN ANTONIO - Health experts and the San Antonio Fire Chief meet to share tips to keep children safe during the heat in summer.

The meeting will address and warn parents about accidentally leaving children in a hot car.

According to stats, every ten days a child has died due to being left in a car.

Last week a Dallas man was charged with manslaughter after a six-month-old baby was left in a hot vehicle.

Children could suffer heat stroke within minutes of being inside a hot vehicle, according to doctors.

This afternoon members of the Southwest Texas Regional Advisory Council hosts an event to talk about safety.
