SAN ANTONIO - People living inside a Northwest Side house safely escaped a fire inside a garage early Friday morning.

The first firefighters to arrive on the scene at the house on Timberwilde, near Grissom Road and Tezel, spotted fire and smoke inside the garage at about 2 a.m.

It did not spread to the rest of the house. Everyone got out, but paramedics did treat one person at the scene for smoke inhalation. Arson investigators worked to determine the cause of the fire.
