Jim Ned girl’s goat sells for $100,000 at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

10-year-old Cydnee Jo Hanslik of Jim Ned won Reserve Grand Market Goat at the Houston Livestock Shows and Rodeo

A 10-year-old Jim Ned FFA girl cashed in over the weekend at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Cydnee Jo Hanslik’s goat won Reserve Grand Market Goat on Friday. It was then sold at auction on Saturday for $100,000.

“I thought that I would do good, but I never dreamed that I would do that good,” said Hanslik. “It’s only my third year.”

Hanslik, a 5th grader at Lawn Elementary, is a member of the FFA. Her proud parents are Clayton Kolarik and Mandi Hanslik-Kolarik of Ovalo.
